A New Sound in a Dark Cave

I sit alone in a cave, with echoes bouncing across the walls. Every echo travels through me between each bounce, vigorously oscillating my head and causing the world around me to deteriorate. Currently and foreseeably the cave has only one inhabitant, the broken pile of emotions that was once recognizable as a shining light. But now the light has shattered, and I am now found surrounded by an empty darkness, with no other to break the spreading absence of light. As the cave becomes darker so do the echoes that bounce within causing my head to swing back and forth faster and stronger. Therefore I sit here, waiting for the echoes that channel emotions throughout me to snap the source of pain right of my neck.

As the echoes get faster they push my entire body to the ground, as I sit back up to prepare for the next attack I see a small light in the distance. Then another echo pushes my body faster and harder, then I stand, for the first time since I entered this cave I stand. After steading my stance I start to run towards the light but enviably another echo knocks me over, and before I can stand back up I get pelted by another, and another. As I open my eyes I see the light, I try to push my body off the ground but my strength has left me. I begin to cry with no emotion to accompany it as I lay there knowing the echoes have triumphantly grounded me. Without thought or emotion my body lies on the ground as I stare at the light ahead of me, far from reach.

While laying on the ground I see the light grow, desperately I start to drag myself along the ground. The farther I go across the ground the jaggeder it becomes, limiting my speed and requiring more force. After losing my grip I stop and look at the light, knowing my efforts were in vain as my arms have grown sore. As I continue to stare an echo smashes my head into the ground, as I reopen my eyes I see the light has grown again. Once again I begin to push myself off the ground, continuing to push harder as my arms wobble and finally I stand. Then I begin to run, frequently missing a step or nearly falling down to the ground I've become attached to. As I run I see the light grow and how close I was getting, then an echo pushed me into the ground, but not just the ground, the ground in the light.

Once I opened my eyes for a final time I did not see a light, but hundreds, maybe even thousands. After getting up off the ground I see a speaker in the centre of all the lights, I begin to walk slowly towards it. As I get closer the sound from the speaker travels through me. At first it feels like an echo, but then it feels like fear, then like strength, and then like a person. While the music moves through me I begin to rise off the ground and start becoming illuminated, as the illumination grows I see a flash of white. Then I'm in a green meadow with specks of various vibrant colours in the form of flowers, the sky is a light blue with a bright sun that brings light down onto the landscape.

As I look around the meadow I see people, all wearing different clothes, all with a different face, all with their own lives that I currently knew nothing about. While looking around I could hear, hear the speaker, hear the breeze, and hear the conversations between the people around me. Suddenly someone came up to me and started talking about the speaker, saying how it got so many out of the cave and the different stories they've heard from others. As the person speaking to me left to talk to someone else I saw someone appear in the meadow and I began to walk towards them.
